Help!

  1. Gumbot doesn't understand me. What can I do?
    If Gumbot is struggling to understand your accent there is the option to change it within the settings.
    Wait for the beep before speaking. The lights will flash to show that Gumbot can hear you.
    Check you are speaking to the right microphone. Do you have an external microphone connected via Bluetooth?
    Make sure you’re not covering the microphone on your device.

  2. How do I connect my music service to Gumbot?
    The first time you ask Gumbot to play something, it will prompt you to authorise your Apple Music or TIDAL account. You only have to do this once.

  3. Which music services can I use with Gumbot?
    An Apple Music or TIDAL subscription is required to listen although you can chat to Gumbot and view the playlist without an account.

  4. Gumbot understands the words I say, but plays the wrong music. Can you help?
    Send us feedback via the social media links in settings to tell us what we should be playing.

  5. Apple Music plays on Wifi, but not with mobile data. How can I fix this?
    You need to enable streaming with mobile data. Go your device Settings > Music > Mobile Data, and enable Streaming.

  6. Is speech the only way to control Gumbot?
    No, you can toggle between play and pause by tapping on the album artwork of the playing track, swipe left or right to change track or use the playback controls on your device.
    You can also tap the speech bubbles if you're not feeling talkative.

  7. Can I save my playlists?
    Yes you can! To save a playlist to Apple Music or TIDAL, view the playlist and tap the save icon. You can also give feedback on the playlist or share it.

  8. Saving playlists to Apple Music doesn’t work. What should I do?
    Go to device Settings > Music and enable iCloud Music Library.

  9. Can Gumbot play to a speaker?
    On iOS, you can play to a speaker by tapping the speaker icon at the bottom of the app and selecting the speaker you want to play to.
    If you're using an Android device, you can connect to your Bluetooth speaker in the normal way. You can also connect your device using a compatible cable.
